OTOH, someone pointed out on Comment is Free that the Guardian has something of an obsession with Jews and Israel, judging by the amount of space devoted to it. It's true, especially when you remember that there's about 300,000 Jews in the UK and 15 million in the world. And you wonder why Jews sometimes have their suspicions about criticism of Israel....

Bizarrely, the cheapest rental car company was Hertz--only £350 for a standard or full size if pre-paid. That's got to be a record--usually Hertz is the most expensive by a big margin. (There might be cheaper companies off-airport, but with the baby and everything, I'm not even going to think about it.) Hertz usually has decent service, too...
