As expected, he didn't think it was anything serious, but given her age I didn't want to try anything else without the doctor's say-so. It's not an unusual length of time to go without, although he understood I was concerned because it was such a change. Basically, I have to give her some diluted prune juice today, and if she still hasn't gone in a few days, I've got suppositories to give her. In the unlikely event that she still hasn't gone in another week, then he'll need to see her again.
I also made an appointment for her 3 month jabs (DTaP/HiB/IPV and MenC) next week. woo.
Then I dealt with some muppets at Tesco who couldn't comprehend that fresh horseradish wasn't in the "look up code" database at the self-scan checkout. After someone FINALLY went to produce to get the barcode number, it transpired that the horseradish had the same code as the mooli (daikon). DOH. I hate Tesco. I only went there because I guessed (correctly) that they would have fresh horseradish in for Pesach--Finchley Tesco tries to be in tune with local ethnic groups. There's a lot of Asian products (including fresh veg like methi and karela) and a good sized kosher section.
Sign of the last minute Pesach shopper: basket containing parsley, horseradish, and romaine lettuce. Oh, and a quart of prune juice... which could be thought of as a Pesach item too ;-) (Good thing the baby's not eating matza yet!)
