Shortly after I posted that last entry, the power cord went from 'flaky' to 'it's dead, Jim'. Bugger and blast. So once my battery was finished, that was it for the night. Hey... I cleaned my fridge! I took all the shelves out and cleaned them in hot water, then sprayed them with Windex and wiped them dry (for a streak free shine... ha ha). Ironically, it still smells despite the cleaning AND a box of baking soda in there [must remember to pick up one of those 'for the fridge' boxes in the States--same baking soda, but in a special box with mesh panels so you can't knock it over and get baking soda everywhere], but Neil says that's his cheese. It better be! (Of course, that means the smell wasn't sluttish housekeeping to begin with and I can feel better about myself, but it needed a clean anyway.)
I still have to hoover. I don't know what it is about hoovering that makes me keep putting it off. Now, with wooden floors in the main rooms, it doesn't show too badly but it still needs it. I think maybe it's having to pick everything off the floor first (and move Aliza's playmat, etc). Maybe. Although that doesn't explain why I haven't done the hall.
So I went to Brent Cross today and got a new adapter, so I'm back in business.
Aliza is a big girl! She has almost outgrown her Moses basket. We haven't set up her cot yet and there is still stuff where the cot is meant to go... (old bed frame, needs to be taken to Neil's parents).
