Aliza's had her injections (DTaP/HiB/IPV and PCV), one in each thigh. She didn't like them very much :( Other than that, nothing to report. She's smiling more, and grasping things--she's pulled her pacifier out of her mouth several times, and tries to grip her bottle (but it's a wide one, and her hands are too small!) She also recognises her bottle when she sees it and reaches towards it.

She's also losing her newborn hair and is quite bald on the sides, which makes her look even more punk ;) The fine hair underneath still seems to be brown, though.

the jabs seem to have made Aliza sleepy. She slept most of the afternoon (I went to sleep too, and was shocked when I woke up at 16:30--she was still asleep and her bottle had been due half an hour before). I fed her and then she went back to sleep.

Hmm, just took her temperature, 37.9 :/ Her normal one is about 36.6 (using a digital in-ear thermometer. I am geek... oh, and to me it was worth the £40 not to a) futz with a rectal thermometer when she's tiny and b) try getting an accurate reading with an oral one. Kids are terrible with keeping thermometers in their mouth.) Still, it's low-grade, I'll just keep an eye on her. She drank her whole bottle when I woke her up for it.

Had pommes dauphinoise for dinner (well, some, Mastering the Art of French Cooking at any rate, say it's gratin jurassien if it has cream in it instead of milk: I don't care ;) Although the gratin jurassien omits the garlic of the pommes dauphinoise; I put the garlic in anyway, because it's yummy.) Lovely potatoes layered with cheese, butter, a touch of garlic, cream poured over it and baked for an hour. Delicieux.

Remind me not to schedule my blood tests (lipid profile) this week, eh? ;)
