I was changing Aliza and decided to try one of her new sleepsuits.
It's enormous. She's swimming in it. Her feet don't even go in the footsie bits. (On her 0-3 month ones, same brand, her toes are pushing up against the seams.) Interestingly, if I scrunch them up so her heels are where they should be, she almost fills the foot parts. So maybe she just inherited my clodhopper feet. (OK, they're not that big, I'm a US 9.5 / UK 7, medium-to-wide. But why are my feet bigger than my sister's when she's 2" taller?) Neil's feet aren't small either.
Of course she'll grow into them soon enough, so it isn't a PROBLEM problem, but it will be an awkward couple of weeks while she's between sizes. We could keep her in the 0-3s for a bit (and some do still fit) but they'll definitely be much too small well before the 3-6s come close to fitting. It's just length that's a problem--things still button/snap with room to spare. (Her jacket is still big on her, actually!)
She has grown a lot, though! I remember when we dressed her to bring her home from the hospital, the outfit was enormous on her--the trousers covered her feet. She wore the same clothes today and they fit perfectly. And you can see the difference in her Moses basket--much less free space. I'm dreading her growing out of it as I don't know how we'll fit the cot in the bedroom. I don't want her out of our room for a bit yet, and anyway we still have extra junk in the nursery.
Neil's dad got some good pics when we were over--I shall add a couple along with bath pics tomorrow :) (Although the ritual "naked baby in bath" photo won't go on the Internet. OMG PAEDOPHILES!) I want to be able to get some shots of her facial expressions; she's got some good ones now!
