She's all bunged up :-( She doesn't seem to be ill otherwise, but her nose is all stuffed and she can't breathe properly. Naturally this means she can't sleep well either, so Neil and I were up a lot last night :-( I don't know what to do for her--you can't blow a baby's nose. (My baby book mentions using a bulb aspirator or plain saline drops, but when I looked in Boots [see, advance planning] I didn't see either. They had nose drops, but not plain saline ones, and I don't think you can give the medicated ones to a newborn.)

In other news, it snowed! Not much, but it looks pretty. I think it's the most snow I've seen since I moved here. I miss real snow--half an inch is news in London :-( (Ha, delays, many severe, on all but 2 Tube lines. And that assumes you count the Waterloo & City as a line...)

my mother's other suggestion for Aliza was a vaporiser, but I looked at Boots' website to see what they have, and they all say "not suitable for infants under 3 months", presumably because they all have various oils in them. Oh well. Will have to steam up the bathroom and try that...

Neil set the TV and DVD player up in the bedroom the other day. So today I could sit in bed, cuddle Aliza, and watch a DVD. Everyone was satisfied :-) She stopped fussing once I picked her up, probably because I can prop her head up so she can breathe more easily. It was more comfy than the sofa too :-)
