Whenever supporters of Israel complain that there's an overfocus on Israeli actions, critics spring up to disagree.
So imagine my surprise when Amnesty International's UN representative agrees with a NYT editorial complaining about the new Human Rights Council's focus on Israel:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/28/opinion/l28un.html(It really is ridiculous: the UN's Human Rights Commissioner had time for a 5 day trip to the Middle East, in which she blamed the Israelis for the war this summer, but I haven't heard much from her on Darfur.)
ETA: Since its inception 6 months ago, the council has held 3 special sessions on Israel and passed 10 resolutions on it. It has passed no resolutions concerning Darfur--not least because the Arab/Muslim bloc prevents any criticism of human rights abuses in Arab/Muslim states.
