Earlier today, it said it was -1°C. Now it says it's 11°C but there's no way it's that warm!

Another home-run from Barnet Hospital: I got an appointment letter today. It was for the appointment I had YESTERDAY!

Neil put together the other bookcase, so the 2nd bedroom is looking rather tidier. Now, to sort out the main bedroom....

Tonight's dinner wasn't brilliant--some of the chicken thighs were cooked, some were nearly raw! This despite being stewed for over an hour--and it wasn't according to size. Puzzling. I stuck the meat thermometer into one of the large ones, it said 190F, I thought "OK done". More fool me. Dare I risk making pudding, or will it be a disaster?

I have, however, hoovered (and scared the cat by hoovering under the sofa) and tidied the living room. Neil said "tidying because relatives are coming next week?" and I made a face at him. If it were just for that I'd clean the day before they came so it would look perfect--if I tidy today it will need it again by next week!

(Actually, it's just that my boredom levels and the mess levels are perfectly coordinated, producing spontaneous cleaning. Unfortunately, I've now run out of cleaning that isn't the start of a huge project [e.g. cleaning out my dresser drawers] so I'm bored again. And Neil is insisting on watching Match of the Day. I hate Match of the Day. I want a 2nd TV... oh wait, we have one but there's no TV point in the bedroom! Not got it set up for DVD watching either...)
