I thought that Le Creuset couldn't go in the dishwasher because the top edge isn't finished--I thought the cast iron would rust.
Today someone told me it can. I googled and got Le Creuset's official page--as long as it has plastic rather than wooden handles, it CAN go in. Yay! I don't like washing big casseroles. :) (And the dishwasher boils everything and gets every bit of grease off.)
Only bad part is I've been doing them by hand for a month :-P
(the rest of my cookware is stainless steel, which I chose expressly because it CAN go in the dishwasher, unlike anodised aluminum. You only need to scrub if there's stuck-on food. I do have anodised bakeware though which has to be done by hand. Icky greasy roasting tins :( )
