This time, Neil's been sent to Athens for work (developers' conference). He'll be back late Tuesday.

My sleep cycle is completely screwed; my diet isn't much better and I REALLY need to get that sorted!! Not a good time to not be eating properly. Or enough.

The laptop STILL isn't ready. How can it be "product return pending" for nearly a week?! I'll call Apple on Monday. I want to get it back and working properly again by Friday. We're moving over the weekend, and BT are supposed to be switching our phone over on Monday, but I'm not sure I trust BT to get it working correctly so fast! And they'll probably have to resync the line since I don't think there's broadband there at the moment.

My plans for the next few days are minimal. I'll go to the cinema Monday (evil horrible Northern Line still screwed at weekends) and I'll pack up all the books and DVDs.

Meanwhile, there's nothing to watch on TV and the DVDs I'm in the mood to watch are Region 1 so I can't play them in here :-( (only the bedroom player is multiregion; the living room player defied Neil's attempts to crack it. Damn you Sony.)

It can't read Mac-formatted disks, so I can't even play my MP3s on here! I suppose that would be one advantage to the occasional back-up to DVD, but I prefer using a 2nd hard drive as it's easier and less expensive for regular backups.

There are 3rd party utilities to do it, but it stinks having to pay $50 when it's built into MacOS. Of course, Microsoft can afford to be sniffy about any other OSes. (Linux? Windows? We spit on them!)
