Although it's now gone from "pending shipment" to "diagnosing product"... thanks to the long weekend it didn't get shipped off for service till yesterday :/

Finished the new Margaret Atwood. Not bad but elements of it felt really recycled from her previous books, especially Life Before Man and Cat's Eye.

Still burping and feeling uncomfortable :(

I made Neil take me for curry tonight. He wasn't keen but then I said "but I'm craving it!" and he groaned and said "in that case...."

WH Smiths in Euston is very silly. The top shelf is too high to reach... and keep in mind I'm nearly 5'8"! (No, I was not looking for a "top shelf" magazine: Smiths keep the New Yorker on top.) If someone of above-average height can't reach, maybe it's too high?
Coming back, the board was broken and we then got 3 Edgware trains in a row! Changed at Camden, first train High Barnet (next two, High Barnet 3, Mill Hill East 8). At Archway, they said that due to "service demands" the train would now be terminating at Mill Hill East. Funnily enough 98% of the passengers got off at Finchley Central and there seemed to be very few passengers waiting there for Mill Hill East. Service demands my foot! (Especially since Mill Hill East is normally every 10-15 mins anyway.)
