I spent the entire evening sleeping off a migraine. Missed dinner. I'm now hungry, but who wants to cook at 00:45? :(

This weekend, Neil proved that Jews can make a joke out of almost anything. He came home from the English Bridge Union Summer Congress with the following book:

I'm reading various comments on herbal remedies such as raspberry leaf tea and they're full of ones such as "I did it with my 2nd pregnancy and it made such a difference--labour was so much easier than with the first,". How do they know it was the tea? There are so many other factors involved. I'm certainly not discounting the possibility that it did work, but you can't know based on the evidence presented!

So the Tories think we should build fewer flats and more houses with gardens:

Precisely how do they think we'll manage to do this, given the amount of space available and the number of houses which need to be built?

Did a search on our Denby pattern (Storm) as we're missing a couple of pieces and John Lewis doesn't stock it any more. It's being discontinued in January. Guess we should get some now if we want it!

(We should try to get it at Street, which is on the way back from Neil's parents, but it's a pain if we're bringing the cat with us, which we do if we're going for more than a couple of days.)
