(If you're not British this will make no sense so don't bother asking :) )

Anyone else think that since they decided to kill off Pauline, she's gone from just being a miserable cow to being an insufferably miserable cow? I'm ready to strangle her. I hate her even more than I hate Rachel, which is quite impressive given that I hated her from her first scene. For heaven's sake, have some self-respect, woman. Yes, your ex is a bastard. But it's been 13 years! Get over it! At least enough not to bitch slap his second wife...

Most of the storylines on EE are a bit crap at the moment actually, but they're kind of enjoyably bad. Although after last year's brief flirtation with comedy (leave it to Coronation Street) they seem to be piling on the misery again.

Oh, there was a rumour that the guy who plays Ian Beale wanted to quit. Not true, sadly.

That's me being lowbrow for the day.

1) I couldn't find my watch when I was ready to go out. Since I have this OCD thing about not leaving the house without it on, this entailed 20 minutes of searching. As I was about to give up, I spotted it--on the table behind the laptop. Doh!

2) The traffic light in front of Sainsburys was not working. It's in the middle of a block, so if there's no red light, cars will just whiz through. I had to wait for a break, then walk across holding my hand up like a lollipop lady. Why don't cars at least SLOW DOWN when they see pedestrians in a crossing, especially when they can see the lights are off?? Grr.

3) Sainsburys was out of the Independent. That's what I get for going late, though...
