I saw some people I hadn't seen in ages (even if I didn't make it to the Old Thameside tonight as planned: I would have liked to see everyone, but neither of us really felt like trekking down to London Bridge, especially since the tube is shut AGAIN!)

I wore new (well bought them a while ago but not worn them before) shoes Friday. I came home with matching blisters on my little toes :(

ironically, after me saying we're not that fussy about location, one of the possibles I've turned up is closer to Woodside Park station than our current flat! Which is impressive, given that we live 200m from the station according to multimap. (In practice, it's slightly more since the block has its back to the main road, but still, we're talking about 5 minutes walk. If I look out from my balcony, I can see the station.)

Oh, I did reject one flat based on location: it was a very nice manor-house conversion on Totteridge Common. it was within our price range (which surprised me, though maybe it's not so easy to rent that level of property in that location--I was surprised at the very existence of flats there), but I would have felt an arse giving it as my address, and it was 1.5mi from the station and generally rather isolated. (Most of the road is lined with gated multimillion-pound mansions behind giant gates. There's one pub near the Whetstone end, and no shops till you get to Totteridge & Whetstone station at the eastern end.)

I'm staaarving and there's nothing I want to eat! :( Had cornflakes at 6. We've got eggs, so I could have an omelette or pancakes, but I don't feel like making a big mess (and there's no OJ). Stupid supermarket doesn't open till 11. Damn the Sunday trading laws.

Currently eating a clementine, but that won't fill me up (although it is refreshing).

Yes I am bored and have nothing to do. Although I just broke the mop head trying to change it... which means washing the kitchen floor is now out...
