Was browsing the Met online store (for a friend!) and had a look at the "luxury fine jewellery" section.
This is absolutely stunning.
(I can't afford it, and I think my wrists are just over 7" around anyway, though I suppose I could go to a jeweller's and get a bit of chain or something to close the half inch gap. But I can admire. Actually, a lot of the things in the Mughal India section are beautiful, though a little ornate for everyday!)
(It sucks. Not only am I too fat for clothes, I'm too big boned for jewellery, the fat girl's friend. It's not my weight either, because I was a size 8.5 ring when I was 15. Now I'm a 9, and you're lucky to find an 8. So if I lost weight my fingers wouldn't shrink appreciably. Same with my wrists--I didn't need any links out when I bought my watch and it fits exactly the same now as it did then. Of course, expensive jewellery is all resizeable, but I don't have the budget for that :P At least I like earrings.)
