We went to B&Q today and bought a shower. Unfortunately their fitting service is booked "for months" so we need to hunt through the Yellow Pages to try to find a plumber to fit it. :/ If they can't do it in the next couple of days I may be begging for a kindly friend to let me have a shower... yes I may be desperate enough to go all the way to South London for clean hair! (Of course, I have to fit this in around the ladies' figure skating on Tuesday and Thursday evenings... ;) )

I also went to Boots and got the pharmacist to give me 2 days supply. I didn't get to the surgery on Friday, and someone told me that the chemist's will often give you 2 days worth to tide you over. Sure enough they did--she said it will be deducted from my prescription when I bring it in. Though she did charge me £8.85!! (Which I will get back since I'm charge-exempt.) I took only 2 pills on Friday, went into withdrawal (which is scary--I only REDUCED my dose!) and said "to hell with it" and took the other 3 Saturday, which was a big risk if I hadn't been able to get more.

rest of the day: hoover, tidy my side of the bedroom, make steak and mashed potatoes for dinner.

Neil has mysteriously scheduled "things" on Tuesday and Thursday: football and bridge. I wonder why... ;)
