I wish they'd invented the magnetic power lead on the last generation of PowerBooks. Just tripped over mine and sent the laptop to the floor.
The PB is fine, the DC-IN pin is bent. I'm trying to bend it back.
Everyone who thinks I'm a bad ad for Apple laptops--no. The MACHINES are fine. the problem is ME, I am cursed.
I do not wish to buy yet another power adapter at £59. I do not have £59. I have far exceeded my computing budget for the month. I bought iLife, I bought DiskSalvage after I accidentally hit "replace" when copying files (deleting the whole folder--replace is not merge, and it doesn't move the original folder to the Trash), and I bought a 25 pack of DVD-Rs.
I do not wish yet another trip to Oxford bloody Circus. (Actually, I could go to Brent Cross, but I was planning on going into town anyway since Neil's playing bridge tomorrow.)
*bangs head*
