It involved a bit of faff. I called reservations, and was told to call the Flying Club line.

I did. Waited 10 minutes. Gave up, checked to make sure the lines were open (they were).

Tried again shortly afterwards. Gave up after 15 minutes.

Tried again before dinner. Waited 20 minutes on hold, FINALLY got through.

All this on 0845 :/ (Red tier is on 0870!)

Anyway, all booked and paid (had to pay taxes at £127.90 per ticket)

Reserved rental car. Hertz wanted £248 WITH the Flying Club discount card--no way, mate! Stuck with National, total of $427 including LDW. (Screw supplemental liability at $12.95/day, but I don't want to be stuck with the bill if we dent the fender.)

Just need to book parking at Heathrow (easier to drive, especially since we can drop the cat off on the way) and book Zoe into the cattery.

I've got visiting my parents down to a science....

We went to Ipswich for bobrayner and twyona's engagement party. Good fun. I brought cheesecake and we played Sing Star (karaoke-type game for PS2). By the end of the night I had no voice left. :)

I went to bed fairly early, and slept late. go me!
