LJ keeps logging me out, even though i have it set to remember me and NOT bind cookie to IP (which would be safer, given the Mozilla bug, but I'm lazy)

On Friday, our landline started acting weird. By yesterday, we were convinced it was a crossed line--we could hear other people talking when we picked up the phone.

However, we switched our phone service from BT. This means getting it fixed is a pain. We have to call OneTel, and basically, they get BT to do the work! They gave Neil a hard time about it too. We proved it was their fault - when we unplugged everything, including broadband, and made a call, the wrong number came up on my mobile.

It's fixed today. That's how I know BT did it: I got a phonecall saying "this is the BT engineer"!

I think we shall be returning to BT.

oh dear. last night the carbon monoxide detector went off, we couldn't work out why.

Aired out the kitchen, detector didn't go off again, all seemed fine.

This afternoon I noticed the boiler was off. It won't go on again...

If anything explodes, we love you all ;)

(Don't worry, we're ringing British Gas, they installed the boiler. Our luck, it will be some problem with the gas line, and British Gas and Powergen will fight about it.)

(Bugger, British Gas can't help, we're ringing half the Yellow Pages now.)
