I hate winter. I really hate winter at 50°N latitude. (side note: The Mac keyboard layout lets you get an O ordinal and ring using the keyboard, but not the degree sign!)
I want to go to the Caribbean again. Barbados was lovely. It's easy to make fun of because it's a favourite of naff celebrities (eg Cliff Richard) but it was a great island and suited us perfectly--very laid back, good food ;-), friendly people (who are, of course, doing it because they know being nice brings back the tourists, but manage to make it seem completely genuine). I think the NHS should subsidise foreign holidays; they're great for SAD ;-) I felt wonderful in the sun, and didn't have a crash when I got back.
In something completely unrelated, I went to Wood Green today to spend my Ottakars vouchers (I returned the book to the one in Barnet, but it's tiny and I wasn't in the mood to shop at the time). They didn't have much I fancied, but I wanted to get rid of the vouchers as I rarely shop at Ottakars (I usually buy at Borders or Foyles). I got the Wagamama cookbook and a novel in the end.
Oh, and I don't care if it's horribly elitist and snobby of me but I would like to make a giant pile of chick lit and set it on fire.
