What irks me is how he doesn't let the facts get in the way of his diatribe. Religion isn't the only cause of tribalism, hatred, and genocide. Without it, we'd still have Rwanda and Pol Pot, and Hitler was based as much on racist nationalism as religion. Hell, we'd probably still have Northern Ireland: colonists versus the colonized.
If he were a bearded fundamentalist imam, no national newspaper would give him the time of day. But Dawkins claims to base his atheism on science, so that's all right. Give him 4 hours on Channel 4 to spew more hate.
I respect atheism as a philosophical position, but I have no respect for Richard Dawkins.
