This soup came out really strong! I did it double, and my largest casserole is only 5L (I have larger but they're in storage) so it was flavoring less liquid than usual. If it were any darker it'd be mistaken for beef instead of chicken. Tastes lovely though (I'm having more now).

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] clarisinda, no cupcakes tonight, sorry :( kitchen's a mess, I have a headache, and I never did get one of my tupperwares back from [livejournal.com profile] kesstrel. Don't worry, I'll remember the cheesecake for New Years though and I may even bring something else for Gav the cheese-hater.

Don't suppose you want some soup though? :)

Idly looked up cost of ticket to visit parents in February. (I won't go, it's not in the budget... although if i went on my own, Neil & I could both go for free later in the year, thanks to airmiles.)

(Oh, wait, we can't: No Flying Club miles on this fare.)

Ticket: £126
Taxes & Surcharges: £115

And they say air travel is undertaxed... not so sure about transatlantic!

(And I'd probably have to stay at my grandma's because there's no spare room at my parents' now that Jen's living there. They're planning to move this year, but they won't have by February.)
