I had a doctor's appointment at 10. Naturally this meant I was running slightly late, and of course Parcelforce showed up as I was getting ready. (I almost didn't hear the bell. We really need a louder one.) I got to the surgery at 10:10. Naturally this meant I didn't get seen till 10:45. :/ It only took 4 minutes (I just needed a new prescription for my thyroid pills... I got them filled in the US in May because I'd forgotten them, so I'd not had the prescription filled here yet!)
From there, I went to HMV in Islington. The gits didn't want to give me a refund, despite the fact that the DVDs were in their sealed original packaging, I had the receipt and credit card, and I'd purchased them 40 hours ago. "We don't do refunds". Watch me. I declined the vouchers (ah, so you're willing to take them back, you just won't give me my money) and saw the manager, who grudgingly agreed to return my money. (OK, NatWest's money, technically speaking.)
HMV will no longer be getting my custom: I will purchase from Borders or Amazon, as they have decent return policies. I don't demand the moon on a stick, but this was stupid.
Did some more errands, got stuck on a very slow 82 bus home (50 minutes from Childs Hill to Finchley Waitrose), got some groceries, and home.
