I thought I copied all the stuff I'd left on my mother's PC (and boy was I glad I'd copied a lot of stuff from my old PC there!), but I guess not: I'm missing some folders, including some images I'd rather like to have :/ Will have to get them back next time I visit. I could try getting Carly to zip them up and e-mail them, but talking her through that takes ages! (Done it before.)

So no baby picture of me except my icon... I think I may have the bigger version of it though...

ah, here we go. Meme from [livejournal.com profile] yanata: post a baby photo of yourself.

I'm trying out Firefox 1.5, and the font in my default layout is too small (it looks like a point size smaller than what it looks like in Safari). If I make it bigger, it's a size bigger than what I want :/ (I think I want it at 9, and it goes from 8 to 10.) Plus, on everything else, the default is fine, so I think the layout (Tabular Indent) is the problem.

Worse, I tried "remove customizations" and discovered that my colours were a custom layout and I can't remember what I had now!

Beware as I now try out every style on LJ.... ;) (can't be bothered to write my own, I'm not that good)

I've stopped fiddling for now. This will do, now that I've toned down the colours ;)

I'm trying out Firefox 1.5. It seems good so far. I gave up on 1.0.7 nearly instantly because it took so damn long to load and would hang when you first tried entering an address. 1.5 loads almost as quickly as Safari. The history is way better than Safari's, though Safari's history function sucks big time so that's not saying much! It's basically a chronologically ordered list in the menu, and the default history item limit is really low, so you can only keep about 2 days worth of browsing if you use it a lot. The extensions are pretty cool, too.

The only thing I'm missing so far is Safari's autocomplete in the address bar--no need to down-arrow.

(This dodgy j key is driving me nuts, and I won't be able to take it to Regent Street till Monday. I've got a doctor's appointment at 10 tomorrow, and if you don't arrive/book first thing, you're screwed. Just checked and Apple Brent Cross is scheduled to open 10 Dec--Yay!!)

That's about it for today. Roast chicken and Iranian carrot pilaf for dinner. Yum. I should have hoovered the living room AFTER dinner though. Doh!
