From today's Guardian TV review:
"30 Days made me very, very glad I don't live in America, where stupid ideas about religion really do impact on people's daily lives. Any nation in which Pastor Fred Phelps, the vile anti-homosexual campaigner ("God Hates Fags"), is allowed to run rampant is wobbling on the brink."
1) British limp secularism isn't much of an improvement.
2) Two words: Ian Paisley.
3) Phelps has about 20 followers and they're all related to him. (OK, a few more, but only because he has 13 children, 9 of whom live in the WBC "compound".)
4) Would you consider the US a better country if we breached the First Amendment and put tape over Rev. Phelps' mouth?
(Sorry, I just get so sick of this self-righteous, looking down on America(ns) bullshit.)
