Let's see, the Jewish festivals finished on Wednesday with Simchat Torah.
The Hindu festivals have been going, and the Diwali fireworks have started already, even though Diwali isn't till tomorrow.
It's Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr is Friday. (I would have thought Tishri and Ramadan would be the same length as they're lunar months... ah, I see, they're 2 days behind.)
Tonight is Halloween.
And Saturday is Guy Fawkes Night--and it should be a big one this year, as it's a weekend AND it's the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot!
Someone get me earplugs... (I'm not kidding, the Diwali fireworks are loud, there are a lot of Hindus up round here!)
