Wellington Mara died on Tuesday. I discovered this because Neil is watching the Giants versus the Redskins on Sky.

(Since most of you have no clue who Wellington Mara is: He owned the New York Giants for 75 years. His father bought the team in 1925, and Wellington became co-owner at age 14. He pretty much ran the team from the time he graduated college.)

I mean, on the one hand, I shouldn't be surprised: he was 89. But at the same time, it's a shock, because Wellington Mara seemed eternal.
