Crap!

I've just discovered that Neil owns The Shawshank Redemption on DVD.

Time to sell it on eBay!

:)

in better news

Manos: THe Hands of Fate is back down to #1 on the Worst Movies of All Time section of the IMDb!

Top 250 is still a load of bollocks; the system effectively favors newer movies, which are more likely to get votes.

Rant, rant, rant.

I'm becoming a Grouchy Old Woman.

The papers gave me 2 more bad science rants last week; not been in the mood to do them though. :)

bizarre!

Just turned on Law & Order on Five. They use a different intro and totally different theme music from the US. Cable (it's variously been on Sky and Hallmark) use the US intro.

And it's not a new episode or anything. In fact I think I've seen it fairly recently on cable. (You know how Law & Order is; it's a cable staple and since it's self contained, you can always watchn an episode when there's nothing else on.)

more great comment, this time from other angles:

Yesterday, Bruce Anderson argued in the Independent that it was all the victims' fault.

Today, Nick Cater says in the Guardian that "withholding aid from the United States is the only way to remove its domestic and foreign policy blinkers". In other words, it's fair to make ordinary people suffer in the name of influencing the government, regardless of whether it actually works or not. I hope he supported the Iraq sanctions too.
