Last night we went to a wedding in Cheshunt (one of Neil's work colleagues). It was fun; the band was good, and did mainly rock (low cheese factor, but that was OK). It was somewhat sad to see a crowd of thirtysomethings singing along to "Living on a Prayer" though. If we'd had lighters, we would probably have used them.

My hair was looking spectacularly ethnic as well. Is it just me, or do English girls just not have hair like mine?! (Not that I mind my hair, at least when it's behaving; shame it doesn't do it more often or I wouldn't always pin it up!)

Today was Sundayish. I made steak and mashed potatoes for dinner, with fried onions. It would have been better had my béarnaise sauce thickened correctly first time round (added the butter too fast). (It's a fixable problem: put some lemon juice in a bowl and very slowly beat in the sauce. It does make it slightly more lemony than desired, though.) Suppose I should do peppercorn instead next time as that's Neil's favorite. :)

I am going to see my Abby in 2 weeks!! My mother says her arthritis is bothering her though and she's having trouble with the stairs :/ And her cataracts are worse, but the vet should be able to fix those--Mom says she can't even think about it till the wedding is over.
