Tonight I have booked 2 round trip tickets to New York. Of course, we'd delayed booking, so they were out of £330 cheap tickets and it cost £479 each. We are getting Flying Club miles, but I'd rather have the money. (Not that I'll turn down 7,500 miles, including the online booking bonus.)
Then I reserved a rental car, which, surprisingly, was cheaper on National's website than on Expedia (I used expedia to search, but not to book). It's only reserved, not paid for, so I can always change it. Must check about Neil's car and credit card insurance as I didn't take extra insurance--I know he's got some kind of rental car insurance on his car policy. I remember being told that LDW and CDW are often unnecessary anyway.
