First of all, our door broke this morning as Neil was going out. Now we have no top hinge. Oops. It was fun trying to leave...

Did a couple hours of volunteering this afternoon. Nothing interesting yet, I'm not allowed to until my CRB check comes back clear as it's a children's charity. This involves sending all my paperwork back to New York, so it's going to take a while. So don't ask what exciting stuff I've done till September or so as that's when my check should be clear. :) (yes it takes 2 1/2 months...)

Yes, there are other places I could volunteer where it would be less faff, but they actually do work I'm interested in. (For those who don't know it, Norwood is the Jewish children and families charity. They run care homes for disabled adults, a special education support service for Jewish schools, a special school in Berkshire, family centres, and the Jewish adoption & fostering service.)
