Dinner last night was very nice. thanks hon :)

Today we were originally going to go into town to get my birthday present but I didn't feel like trudging in (especially since the sales are on). So we just did errands. As we approached Finchley Waitrose, we saw that the entrance was blocked by 2 ambulances and the police, and the cops were putting up tape. So we went to the butchers first. Temple Fortune was busier than expected but we managed to find a parking space.

Rather than risk Ballards Lane again (it was pretty clogged) we went to Mill Hill Waitrose instead (Whetstone is closer to our flat, but is in the wrong direction, and would have involved going back through the traffic jam). Mill Hill is new and glitzy looking, but isn't quite as good as Finchley. Oh well.

Made a nice roast dinner, watched Top Gear, then made Neil clean the roasting tins ;)
