1, Correlation is not causation.

2, Look more closely at the table. Ireland has STV, and as I recall it is a fairly recent change, but turnout is only 2% higher than in the UK.

(I'm divided on the subject of PR in general but the Indy's campaign is not convincing me.)

I was pleased to see a skeptical article about "Dr" Gillian McKeith in Sunday's Observer Food Monthly. I particularly liked the sidebar where a real dietician's analysis of the writer's diet was compared with McKeith's analysis.

It's a shame the same skepticism wasn't applied to Dr John Briffa's diet analysis a few pages later--that's usually a good source of psuedoscience.
