1) Royal Mail. Amazon US posted me something on 29 April, expedited international delivery. Estimated delivery date, 4-12 May. Still not here. No delivery card. Hmm. I'm going to the office on Monday to enquire. This means that Neil has to rush home so he can drive me, because the package will be too heavy for me to carry home. Gits.

(They never left a delivery card for my passport, either. If I hadn't had a tracking number I would never have known it had been posted!)

2) London Underground. Tonight, all High Barnet trains via Bank, no trains from Hampstead to Edgware, Hampstead trains via Charing Cross. Got that? So I'm at Euston, Bank platform, and the indicator says Mill Hill East 1 min, Edgware 7, High Barnet 12.

Hmm. Take Mill Hill East train. Get to Finchley Central. No trains on indicator. Wait a few minutes. Indicator comes up: High Barnet 4, High Barnet 7, High Barnet 12. OK. Then a High Barnet train shows up 30 seconds later. Bizarre.

Doesn't LU know where its trains are going?!

When I moved my MP3s over I seem to have lost all, save 2 episodes, of The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy :( I don't know how I managed this, especially as I've got Fits 1 and 5--bit random! I can't spot anything else missing, though.

Extra annoying: These were backed up to CD, but heaven knows where they are; probably my mother's. AND Neil has them... on TAPE!

I'll have to go buy the CDs. Suppose it's an excuse to get the Tertiary Phase. Or maybe I should wait and get all 4 series in one giant box set... :)
