I was told about this warehouse sale out in Wembley that I thought I'd check out. I've been looking for something specific and had some trouble. I need something for synagogue, which means dressy and with a reasonably high neckline. (Properly speaking it should cover the collarbones, but I go to a United Synagogue and no one's that stringent. Actually some women wear fairly low cut stuff, but I personally find that disrespectful.) Finding something summer weight that qualifies has proven somewhat difficult. I don't want to have to wear something underneath as the ladies' gallery gets warm. Anyway, I got told about this one and that it was on all week, so I thought I might as well try.
Getting there sucked, because of the Wembley Park works--not all Metropolitan Line trains stop there. There was only an Uxbridge train at Kings Cross, so I decided to change at Finchley Road (some trains start at Baker Street). Fine. Except I forgot that northbound Jubilee trains weren't stopping at Wembley Park either... so I had to go to Kingsbury and get a southbound train.
(Yes, I know the 83 from Golders Green goes there as well, but I don't like long bus rides--I'd rather have a slightly longer tube ride.)
All that... and I get there and discover it doesn't start till Thursday! D'oh!
