went to
mooism's party last night. It took us a mysteriously long time to get there: 3 hours. Now, we stopped for some dinner, but that took about 45 minutes including the walk... it should not take 2 hours to get a tube to Clapham Common, then a 417 bus!
The party itself was very nice though. :-) No one had remembered full fat Coke, so Neil went down the road to get me some. (Funnily enough, we'd walked past the shop, I thought "maybe I should get some Coke, just in case", then thought "nah, of course there will be some". DOH!) Anyway, he also returned with 5 boxes of orange Tic-Tacs: he knows my weakness! For some reason the orange are hard to find; you always see them mixed with lime, which I don't like.
We left at 2:30, and had to endure 2 night buses home. The N159 was OK, and the N20 was fine when we got on at Trafalgar Square. Unfortunately, all the idiots got on at Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road. None of them appeared to be able to read the "buy tickets before boarding" sign, so we had to wait while they went back and bought tickets. Plus the usual assortment of drunks, etc. I was glad we'd gotten on at Trafalgar Square, though; the bus was packed by the time we left TCR. Got home at 4:30, bed by 5--ow!
Both of us slept most of the day, then I woke up at 16:15 and roused Neil so we'd get to the supermarket before it shut at 17:00. The supermarket late on Sunday is a bad idea; they run out of lots of things. :-( Oh well, our fault!
