Sad, sad woman

There can be few things more pathetic than eating McDonalds in France. Actually, I think I'll blame France: McDonalds was the only takeaway open! (I was too ill to go out to eat.) Never get ill in France on a Sunday evening. Nothing is open. If it weren't for the service area on the autoroute I wouldn't even have been able to get a drink.

Next time I get sick on holiday, remind me to do it in New York, where almost everywhere does takeaway and you can get water and ibuprofen at any hour of the night. Alternatively, get ill in a five-star hotel with 24 hour room service...

Meh, I feel like crap. Driving from Rouen to London (with the ferry in the middle) is not what you want to do when all your joints ache and you can't move your neck.

The cat is fine--many thanks to kesstrel for looking after her :)

I have nice things to say about France, btw--just not in the mood to be positive!

oh yes

And I have a toothache... and it hurts if I press the root. I'm pretty sure this tooth had a root canal done. :/ Must ring dentist in the morning. I need a couple of cavities filled anyway.
