Neil was playing bridge (to inaugurate the new Sunday session at Young Chelsea) so I went out on my own. I had some curry, then headed off to the cinema.
The original plan was to see Head-On. However, I made a bit of a mistake with the cinema times. This was easier than it sounds. You see, the Curzon Soho was showing Head-On at 21:25, and an Australian film called Head On at 21:00. I mixed them up. Upon arriving at the cinema (at 20:25) and discovering my mistake, I said "bugger it" and walked down the road to the UGC (where I didn't have to pay either--Head-On wasn't on at any of the central UGCs).
So I went to see Hotel Rwanda. I'd been interested in this anyway as I'd read the story of Paul Rusesabagina a while ago, before I'd even heard they were making a film of it. It was very well acted, but more than a bit sanitized (as I was expecting from the 12A rating). I could be cynical about this, but I don't have the energy for a rant....
