We saw His Dark Materials at the National Theatre. Very good, with truly amazing staging. Of course, since I'd read the books, I had some quibbles with changes they'd made :-)

It was a lovely evening though, good meal in the restaurant first too. Only downside was the tube on the way home--we got to Finchley Central and were told we'd have to wait 14 minutes for a tube to High Barnet! So we got a bus. Of course, the 125 went past as we were crossing the road.

Typical, I have more to say about crappy transport than a very nice play and dinner...

We're going to see the 2nd part on Friday.

So I did the only thing you'd expect me to do with found money: I went book shopping. :-)

Neil's out this evening. I decided I wasn't in the mood for the cinema, and shall be relaxing at home and watching TV. Exciting, huh?
