Some things were accomplished. We went to IKEA and got 2 DVD tower things (so the DVDs can stop hogging a bookcase which is twice as deep--we may temporarily dissassemble and store the bookcase to declutter the lounge), a small Billy bookcase for the bedroom (because I'm sick of having books laying around... and if we get rid of the junk in the corner we can fit a small one), and some other junk, including a thing to put the newspapers in. Unlike the box currently in use, it can't hold more newspapers than I can bring to the bin in one trip. :-) We also went to the pet store and got Zoe a new, larger litter box and a scratching post.
I didn't get as much cleaning done as I wanted to last night, but some progress was made.
Today we met Neil's sister for lunch. The South Bank really is grim when it's cold and grey. Shame, as from a venue and cultural centre point of view it's been a real success, better than Lincoln Center as far as I can tell. Lincoln Center also suffers from 1960s concretitis, but has less cold wind and a rather nice fountain/focal point.
