Nothing outlasts the Energizer... ahem.

I went to sleep at 20:30 with no dinner. got up at 3:30 :-( and I'm getting NO SYMPATHY from you lot! :-P

on the plus side, our fridge appears to be colder. It's been suggested that I buy a fridge thermometer, which is a good idea. I blame the lurgy for not thinking of it myself ;)

Just trekked out to the big Pets at Home store in Brentford. it took 1h30 each way and I couldn't get a scratching post because I had to take the tube home. I miss driving!!! (They close at 8pm, and Brentford is the closest branch, so Neil could only take me on a weekend.) However, they had Iams Eukanuba, which I've not seen elsewhere around here. Hopefully "Chicken and Liver" flavor tastes enough like the US "Chicken and Rice" that Zoe won't put up too much of a fuss. She wasn't keen on regular Iams when the cattery gave it to her.

I also bought some cat toys, including a squeaky mouse thing and some catnip bubbles.

My cat will never appreciate the trouble I go to for her :-P

And AFTER I got home, I remembered I'd meant to buy a new computer mouse as mine seems to be dying. D'oh. It can last till tomorrow. I can always use the laptop trackpad, but I like having the extra buttons and scrolly wheel. :)

Leave to remain fees are being raised to £335 for postal service and £500 for in person service!!!

Fuck this for a larf, as soon as I can get away with DCF I'm making Neil move to the US :-P

(DCF = Direct Consular Filing, where it's all done via the Embassy and takes 3 months instead of 10 via USCIS, and the whole process is simplified. You have to have been resident abroad for a certain time to be allowed to do it, though.)
