I used to think I was a slave to the cat. Now I know I'm minor-league. Neil puts me to shame. :-) While we were at his parents, he kept going to check on the cat every 10 minutes, cooing at her with pet names (and Zoe has a lot of them!), tickling her under the chin, trying to get her interested in the cat toys Kathryn got her for Christmas...

It was really pretty funny. Even his mother teased him about it ;-)

We saw the New Year in quietly with Jools Holland on BBC2. Then Neil stayed up till 04:30 playing Civ. :-) Bizarrely, even though I went to bed earlier, I slept later. I'll blame the cold. ;-)

Tomorrow we may brave Brent Cross if we get up early enough. Today's Independent said that Denby is 25% off in the John Lewis sale, so we could pick up some of the bits we didn't get as presents! Neil also wants to see The Incredibles, so we might do that.

Annoyingly, I've just made a pudding with the leftover pandoro and now feel nauseous! :(
