Slept all afternoon, oops. More pill fun again... another missed dose and I only had 2 left! (Normal dose is 3.) I dropped off the new prescription at Boots this morning so I shall pick them up in the morning. Also found out that they don't do 1000mg metformin here so it's back to too many tablets :(

For the first time in a week, we don't have a sink full of dishes!! I had to clean all the pans though (they're normally kept under the sink; you can imagine what happened). One saucepan lid appears to be missing. Hmm.

I'm now watching Kim & Aggie on C4. It's not exactly high class television, but it's making me feel better about our messy flat. :) Heaven knows it could use a really thorough clean, which is hard to do with this much clutter, but it isn't a public health danger. You can use our bathroom without fear and the cat box is cleaned regularly (sifted every couple of days, dumped and changed once a week).

Yes, guilt struck. Don't forget, it's the most powerful emotion in Judaism. :-)

I've hoovered the hall and lounge, put the bathmats in the wash, sifted the cat box, then moved it, hoovered up scattered bits of cat litter, put down fresh newspaper and replaced the box, scrubbed sink and toilet. Cleaned the Dyson head (forget the cat, it seems _I_ shed. And mine's long enough to get caught in the roller. Zoe's furballs get sucked right up.) Collected newspapers, will dump tomorrow. Did dinner dishes, scrubbed cook top. I may attack the Pile O'Crap on the sofa next.

Still to do: fridge (did a basic clear-out yesterday, want to wash the shelves with soap and water), mop bathroom and kitchen, scrub bath (I actually hate this more than the toilet. A toilet brush has a nice long handle and you don't have to squat on your knees.) I also need to attempt to de-mildew the tiles in the corner of the bath. I remember not seeing any de-mildewing stuff in the supermarket--where do you get it here? And sort out the bedroom....

I should probably also clean the oven. First I have to find out how. Stop laughing, I grew up with self-cleaning (pyrolitic). You turn a switch, it heats up to some ridiculous temperature, and in the morning you wipe up some ash with a sponge. I think this one has catalytic liners, but I'm not sure. It's definitely not pyrolitic, that's all I know!

I'd say I'm turning into my mother, but there's no way she'd be satisfied with my standard of cleaning. :-)
