I'd been searching for something (a wedding present cheque) for ages, unable to find it. I was starting to worry that I had thrown it out by mistake. Then today I decided to tidy the bedroom, and look for the cheque (I need to deposit it in the States). My eye alighted on the pile of response cards on the dresser. "I didn't leave it in the card, did I?" Sure enough, I had. DOH!

I went to Foyles and bought BOOKS! :-) And went to Ed's for a burger and milkshake.

Also booked a taxi to take me to Heathrow tomorrow.

As usual I plan to pack in the morning. :-) Hey, the washing's still going!

I want to order a Tupperware cake taker. My mother has one and it's great. They also have a new rectangular one with a double sided base: one flat for cakes, the other with holes to fit 18 cupcakes.

Tupperware UK doesn't have online shopping.

So, thinks I, I'll order it from the US site and send it to my mother's, then bring it home with me (if I take it out of the packaging I can get it in my suitcase).

go to the site, put the items in my cart, go to checkout.

THE DAMN SITE CAN'T COPE WITH A BILLING ADDRESS OUTSIDE THE USA!!!

(And amazon doesn't sell tupperware directly, only via other sellers...)

There's a Tupperware place in Roosevelt Field Mall, hope it has the cake takers!

I was browsing the humor section at Foyles and they'd filed Dr. Laura Schlessinger's The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands there. :-) (2 copies, filed in the correct alphabetical order--so if it was a customer, it was deliberate.)
