I can't believe someone's marketing this.

The good news: The pain is mostly due to gum irritation.

Bad news: I have 4 cavities. How?! I brush, I floss obsessively, I had an exam less than 6 months ago.

Worse news: One is on the top left bicuspid. The NHS doesn't consider this a "front tooth", so will not pay for a white filling, and I have to go private on it--£50 :-( The others are in the back, so I'm less fussed about amalgam. I'd prefer composite, but I think I'll save £120 for now. (3 x £50 less NHS cost of 3 x £11.72.)

We have to repaint our flat before we can put it on the market. So on Sunday we went to Homebase and got testers: cream and pale yellow for the lounge, and pale blue for the bedroom. (The hall will be done in white.) I've just painted stripes on the walls. :-)

I've just realized something, though. The bedroom isn't very sunny, since it faces onto the balcony which blocks the sun. So I'm not sure blue will work now. I've put a strip of ivory on as well.

The idea is basically to make the flat look bright and clean, rather than some interesting decor scheme, hence the choice of colours :-)

I'm listening to the Dave Matthews Band - Under the Table and Dreaming.

This album came out 10 years ago--I remember hearing it played on the radio (there was actually a station in Rochester that played the whole album, straight through!) my first year of university. I feel old now :-/
