We actually went out and did a couple thing on Saturday night ;) First, we went to TGI Friday's. I know, I know, it's crap and it's shockingly overpriced here to boot (just replace the dollar signs with pound signs... and maybe raise the numbers a bit). I felt like having cheesy American chain food, though.
Afterwards, we went to see Bride and Prejudice. Hardly as subtle and witty as the Jane Austen original, but fun nonetheless. The best jokes were at the expense of the NRIs (Non-Resident Indians).
Today we ventured to Brent Cross, where we purchased an AEG washer-dryer at John Lewis. Thanks to me researching it, the purchase was easy. JL's service was also very good--they'll remove our old one and hook up the new one, they give an extra year's warranty free, and they didn't do a hard sell on an extended warranty. The price was good, too. It will be delivered Friday morning.
Did some more errands, came home, had a nap, ate soup.
