Feeling much better. Neil gave me lots of cuddles and told me not to worry, I could bother him anytime I liked. He also told me people were going to Hay-on-Wye today, which is a town full of secondhand bookshops, and offered to take me :-) The trip was fun, although (shock, horror) I didn't buy any books!! After lunch, Neil gave me some money and told me to go have fun (this was just fine with me as we like different books). I browsed for 2 hours but I didn't see anything I wanted. I did think of things I'd like as I was browsing the shelves but of course they didn't have them.
On a totally different subject, TextEdit is the world's stupidest piece of software. I wanted to make a quick modification to a web page. So, naturally, I fire up a text editor. TextEdit opens it in semi-WYSIWYG, very nice. I edit and I go to save. TextEdit then tells me it can't save in HTML, only in RTF+images. DOH! You stupid, stupid program. First, you should have warned me when I opened the file. Secondly, all HTML is is PLAIN TEXT... which you can save. Trouble is you can't just go to "Save As" and save it as file.html.txt; you have to change the format to Plain Text, which wipes out all the bloody tags. FFS, SimpleText (TextEdit's predecessor) handled HTML just fine.
