I just got my phone to talk to iSync! When I first paired it iSync couldn't find it. Google showed that the k700i wasn't yet supported but if you did the pairing from the phone it would work. It didn't. I found MobileSync which syncs to Entourage, but this wasn't the best solution as a) I don't want the exact same set of contacts on my phone and in Entourage and b) it costs $25 if you want to use it for more than 7 days. Tonight I decided to have another go, re-googled, and found slightly better advice on how to initiate the pairing from the phone. Did it and got the options for address book and calendar sync. Checked them off, paired them, and iSync got a little entry called "Kaisa". Yay!

I still <heart> my Mac. :-)

Final clarification on confusion: I am eligible. As far as the DoH is concerned, if you've come to marry someone who is ordinarily resident in the UK, you've come to take up permanent residence and are entitled to NHS treatment:

That's me today. I had ONE thing I had to do. I had to meet Neil at John Lewis at 18:00. So what happens? I lie down for a nap at 2pm. I'm woken up by my cellphone ringing. It's Neil--"where are you?" I look at the clock--17:55. It's too late for me to make it down there now. So he's gone to Oxford Street for nothing. *sighs*

Despite my utter uselessness today Neil brought me chocolate. That made me smile :)

Speaking of chocolate, when I weighed myself before i moved I was X stone 11. I am now X stone 6. (A stone, for my American readers, is 14 lbs. I still think in straight pounds, but using stone is convenient here because it allows me to conceal my exact weight more easily. :-) ) So, assuming both scales are accurate, I have lost 5 pounds. I have no idea how, given the amount of ice cream I've been eating and the general crapness of my diet. I NEED more fruit and veg, but the stuff in the supermarket is just so unappealing :-( I tried one of the cherries in Waitrose the other day and it just had no taste. I must find a farmers' market or something.
