(Long Island is just in the area for the 17-year periodical cicada. Should be a fun summer! :/ )
(Update: There seems to be a difference of opinion as to whether the brood X area stretches this far. We're definitely in the Brood XIV area, though, which is why I thought it was a few years early--the next year for that is 2008. We've got other cicadas, though, so we won't be spared the noise...)
