Partly because I've got very sensitive teeth, partly because I've built up a tolerance to Novocaine, and partly because my dentist is an anaesthetic fiend, I got 4 shots (vials, ampules, whatever) of Novocaine today. This was just after 18:30. He injected most of it into the back of my jaw, where it hinges, so I can't really open my mouth properly.

It's now 22:30 and I'm starving. And still numb (though my lip is starting to tingle). So I'm trying to eat pasta. It's interesting trying to eat without opening your mouth more than an inch or so....
